PCOS
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a common (but not normal) hormonal condition that affects how your ovaries function, making it difficult to conceive. Women with PCOS often experience irregular or absent periods, difficulty ovulating, excess androgens (male hormones), facial hair, acne, weight struggles, and sometimes small cysts on your ovaries. Because ovulation is often disrupted, PCOS is one of the leading causes of infertility, affecting 1 in 10 women.
